Try before you buy

You can try the system on your PC by downloading the latest version - it will provide all the functions except generating targets with a simulator

Download procedure - don't forget to uninstall before re-installing

1. Important: uninstall any previous version before installing a new one - see below.
2. Important: do not attempt to use Version 3 software on a Version 2 system.
3. See the Products page if you are not sure which version of DryFire hardware you have.
4. Right click on the required file and select "Save target" to save it on your hard disk.
5. Find the downloaded file on your hard disk and double click on it to start the installation.

Please follow all the steps in this procedure if you have any reason to uninstall/re-install:

• Use Windows Control Panel to uninstall DryFire and Course Designer.
• Delete the folder c:\program files\dryfire (or the folder where you installed DryFire if different.)
• Delete the file c:\windows\system32\dfgraph.dll.
• Delete the file c:\windows\dfgraph.ini.
• Install the new version.

Current software for Version 3 (green) simulators

This is a copy of the .EXE installation file on the DryFire CD. Note: it does NOT contain the USB drivers which are on the original CD.

Earlier software for Version 1 or 2 simulators (grey)

Our master PC was attacked by a very nasty virus which also managed to attack our backups so we regret that we cannot supply software for older versions of DryFire.

If anyone has a copy of the version 2 software CD we would be grateful if they would contact us so that we may obtain a copy.

Note: it should be possible to copy a version 2 installation to a new PC by copying the folder c:\program files\dryfire and the file c:\windows\system32\dfgraph.dll. We cannot promise that version 2 will work under Vista and of course a new PC will not have a serial port so a version 2 simulator will require a USB to serial interface cable.

DTL layout with 25 targets

The DTL layout provided with DryFire offers one shot on each of the five stations.

Right-click here and select "Save target as" ("Save link as" for Firefox users) to save it in your DryFire layouts folder.

When running a complete layout this version offers 5 targets on each station before moving to the next. It will appear in your layouts list as DTL25.
